QR Code Quick Case

Attended a great mobile content session by @janusboye today. He did an on-the-spot QR code test by showing a code to an audience of about 70 techies and asking them to scan it if they had a smartphone and the proper software. Result? Only 10 scans.

A small sample to be sure, but I think it shows that QR is still on the early adopter side of the curve.

TrueHDR vs. iPhone Native

Penny and Hobbes - No TrueHDR
This is the before picture using just the iPhone's native attempt to render the lighting of the scene. Very flat and no pop to the colors. Hobbes' (the cat) head looks like a cutout against the nearly black background of the bean-bag chair.

Penny and Hobbes - With TrueHDR
This is the scene under the same lighting conditions, but using TrueHDR on the iPhone. Definitely some more grain here, and the colors aren't exactly natural, but the effect is quite pleasant, at least in this case. More depth and detail are immediately visible.
